Board Commissioner

For the Lincoln-Pipestone Rural Water System

Lincoln-Pipestone Rural Water System is seeking to fill a vacancy on the Lincoln Pipestone Rural Water System Board of Commissioners that will be created beginning January 1, 2025.

Lincoln Pipestone Rural Water is governed by an 11-member Board of Commissioners that oversees the operation of the public water system by establishing policy and reviewing activity in the areas of operations, development and expansion, budget and finance, personnel, and management.  The Board normally meets on the last Monday of each month starting at 10:00 a.m. during the months of November through March and 5:00 p.m. during the months of April through October.  Each Commissioner is also appointed to a committee (budget, personnel, or water resources and equipment) that meets approximately two to four times a year, and there are occasional special Board meetings.

To apply, send us a letter stating why you are interested in serving along with a description of your experience and qualifications.  Appointment to the Board is made by the District Court based on recommendations from the LPRW Board and the 10 County Commissions within the System.  Applications must be received by the close of the normal business day (4:30 pm CDT) August 15, 2024, at the LPRW main offices in Lake Benton, MN to be considered.
